VALLEJO, Calif. —
A season-long seven-game road swing, lasting nearly a month, will end this week when Cal Maritime travels to Rocklin on Monday to face Jessup and Lancaster Friday night for the final game of this year's series against West Coast Baptist.

Tipoff for both road events is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Keelhaulers' reward for playing all of their non-conference games this season so far, except for one, is a two-game homestand that bookends CSUM's week of finals. This pair of games that begins Sunday evening, inside PEAC Main Gym, starts at 5 p.m. vs. Stanton and ends on Saturday, December 14, against Mount Vernon Nazarene.

Do not let Cal Maritime's record fool you since Monday's matchup is the team's fourth game played against a Division III or D-II opponent. This exhibition game at Jessup is the third post-COVID matchup against the Warriors, and the fifth since CSUM's last head-to-head victory, which took place on November 20, 2018, in Vallejo.

Cal Maritime also dropped the last four on the Warriors' home court and last earned a road win on January 2, 2015.

Men's basketball opened its season against West Coast Baptist and turned in a historic performance in front of the CSUM faithful. That night, Cal Maritime led by a game-high 60 points and cruised to a 135-76 victory to set a new mark for most points scored in a game in the program's recorded history.

This is the second time on as many head-to-head matchups that the Keelhaulers reached triple figures against the Eagles: On November 23, 2019, Cal Maritime dropped 100 against West Coast Baptist on its home floor, and that is where Friday's game will take place.

Nearly a month after opening the 2024-25 season inside PEAC Main Gym, CSUM will return to its home floor to host Stanton in the opening game of a home-at-home series that will conclude January 11 in Anaheim.

This is Stanton's inaugural year of competition, one that starts with 15 road games and ends with the program's inaugural home game that, ironically, takes place against the Keelhaulers.

Playing a combination of opponents at a variety of levels, since Stanton is unaffiliated and currently in the process of earning NAIA sponsorship, it holds an official record of 1-3 entering the month of December.

Prior to facing CSUM, the Elks will face Benedictine Mesa tonight (Dec. 1), travel to Embry-Riddle the next day and visit Simpson on Thursday before visiting campus Sunday afternoon.
