Why are sports so important in your life
Whether it has been soccer, basketball, baseball, or pretty much anything else, I have been playing on sports teams for as long as I can remember. And if I had to think of a single reason why sports are such a major part of my life, it would undoubtedly have to be because of the fact that sports have played such a large part in my life to date, I don't see how I could be where I am today without them. Playing on a variety of teams, at all levels, has taught me nearly everything I know about work ethic, teamwork, competition, and commitment, and without sports I don't know if would have ever gained the level of understanding of these concepts that I have today. I honestly cannot imagine a life without sports and they are one part of my life that will never change.
What is the most memorable sports achievement in your life and has it changed you as a person and athlete?.
My most memorable sports achievement to date would have to be during my Junior year of high school when our soccer team defeated our league rivals in the final minutes of regulation to become the undisputed Nisqually League Champions (with the 2nd place team in the crowd awaiting the outcome). After giving up a late goal to tie the game 1-1, our team quickly rallied back and scored the go ahead goal just a minute later and just a few minutes before the final whistle. Although I wasn't the one to score the goal, this is one game I will never forget because just being on the field during this match taught me so many things, including hard work will always pay off and to never give up regardless of the situation and odds against you.
