VALLEJO, Calif. — In women's basketball's final game of the season, the program will honor its graduating seniors in a pregame ceremony before facing its Cal Pac rivals to end the season.
Fans are encouraged to finds their seats inside PEAC Main Gym no later than 6:15 to help the program honor its graduating student-athletes.
With a victory, Cal Maritime will defeat the Pioneers for the seventh time in the last eight matchups and sweep the season series for the third season in a row.
Earlier this year, CSUM traveled to Angwin for the first game of the new calendar year in a designated non-conference meeting involving league teams. In a low-scoring event that saw the Keelhaulers collect a 46-40 victory, eight different players recorded at least two points, led by Aysia Santos and her nine.
Nearly a month later during Cal Pac play, Cal Maritime held the Pioneers to 40 points again but scored 67 to collect another victory on PUC's home floor.
Santos led her team again in scoring with a career-high 22 in the first of six double-digit scoring games (a streak that is still active entering the weekend), Dylan Fulton finished her night with 19 points and 13 rebounds to notch her second double-double of the season and Suraya Lloyd led CSUM's bench with 10 points.
Even though the Keelhaulers are out of playoff contention, this game is an important tone because it will provide a strong ending to the season for a program that is continuing its upward trajectory. With a victory, Cal Maritime will win its seventh game of the year — the most since the 2018-19 season when it wrapped-up that campaign with eight.
