Bio
Cal Maritime's current head of sports performance and head men's and women's golf coach was a former trainer for USA National Rugby Football Union from 1998-2002 before joining the department.
The 2024-25 season is Ward's third as men's golf's head coach and his 23rd at Cal Maritime.

The Newark, California native's career started shortly after high school when he enlisted in the U.S. Army and specialized in physical therapy. Once his enlistment ended, he volunteered at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, served as an athletic trainer for OMBAC Rugby in San Diego, and worked in a physical therapy clinic that specialized in sports medicine injuries.
Ward earned his undergraduate degree at San Diego State and holds a master's degree from Saint Mary's College.
In his free time, Ward enjoys playing golf, reading, spending time with his family and restoring a 1951 Chevy Sedan.
