Monday, October 28th at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif.
The California Pacific Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships are set for Monday, October 28 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif., hosted by University of California, Merced. The women's 6k will open the championships at 9:30am with the men's 8k following at 10:30. This is the second year the Cal Pac Championship will feature the 6k distance on the women's side. The meet determines the conference's individual and team champions, in addition to All-Cal Pac First and Second Team members. An Awards Ceremony will follow both races. The team champion advances to the NAIA National Championships, which will be held in Columbia, Mo., on Friday, Nov. 22.
If at least 6 teams complete the race with a score, the top four individuals not on the championship team(s) shall also qualify for the national meet, provided they finish among the top 15 scoring places of their respective races. In 2024, two men’s teams are on probation and will not count as scoring teams for NAIA qualification. As such, the men’s team champion will advance, and two (2) individuals not on the winning team will advance if those runners finish in the top eight.
