Cal Maritime caps fall season in Santa Barbara at Pacific Coast Championship
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – In its final fall semester regatta, Cal Maritime experienced a stellar start in Santa Barbara by recording a bullet in the second race of the Pacific Coast Championship, which placed the Keelhaulers in first place overall at that time of the regatta.
As the weekend continued, challenging conditions continued to frustrate the 19-team field, including CSUM, as it ended this 24-race event in 10th overall.
Stanford entered the second round with the overall lead and held that position to defeat the regatta hosts by 62 points.
Off for the rest of the calendar year to prep for the last round of midterms, papers and upcoming finals, Cal Maritime will return to action during the first weekend of the new year in Long Beach at the Rose Bowl Regatta, hosted by USC at the U.S. Saling Center.
