As Cal Maritime's athletics administrative coordinator, Cat Guidry provides administrative support for Athletics' staff and coaches; position-specific responsibilities include travel coordination, athletic compliance and eligibility, involvement in departmental strategic planning and campus committees while assisting in a variety of administrative and operational goals within the Department of Athletics and Physical Education.

Guidry's return to the department follows a brief hiatus since she previously served as Cal Maritime's associate director of athletics for recreation before switching to her current position.

"I'm excited to return to the Keelhauler family at Cal Maritime," Guidry said. "As a former student-athlete, I have a passion for athletics and serving the student-athlete population. The wide range of diverse student-athletes, coaches, and sports at Cal Maritime motivates me to strive to provide each with the best experiences possible and to offer my full support in reaching their goals." 

Prior to Cal Maritime, Guidry was Mission College's adjunct kinesiology instructor, assistant softball coach, and volleyball specialist. Throughout her tenure, she revived the volleyball program and recruited of nine new women student-athletes.

As a student-athlete — she was a member of UC Davis' softball program from 2012-14 — she received the Most Inspirational Teammate Award and led the Aggies in stolen bases during the 2014 season.

Guidry was recruited to UC Davis to become a Division I softball student-athlete after earning Sierra Valley Conference Player of the Year and Offensive MVP honors during her junior and senior seasons (2011 and 2012) at Vista Del Lago High School.

She graduated from UC Davis in 2016 with a degree in African American and African studies, minored in coaching and education and received her master's degree from Concordia University of Irvine in coaching and exercise sciences.

Guidry was born in Vallejo, California, and grew up in Folsom.
