Mission Statement

The Department of Athletics and Physical Education, in conjunction with Cal Maritime's mission, provides student-athletes with an education for life. 

Intercollegiate athletics offers ideal opportunities for leadership in practice, in addition to enhancing student-athletes' physical and social development. Encompassed within Athletics' mission is a commitment to instilling our student-athletes with the five core values of respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, integrity, servant-leadership and a will to excel in competition, and in life.
