Student-Athlete Advisory Council
Mission Statement
The Student-Athlete Advisory Council is a committee that provides insight on its unique undergraduate experience, promotes communication between athletic administration and athletes at Cal Maritime by providing a student voice within the department, discusses issues and concerns and provides feedback, when necessary. This group also serves in a leadership role with regards to recruiting fellow student-athletes to serve the campus, City of Vallejo, and the surrounding area through a variety of community service programs and events.
It is the SAAC's privilege and responsibility to enhance relationships between Athletics and other departments at Cal Maritime.
To accomplish its purpose and goals, the SAAC will serve as an open forum for all varsity athletes and act as a vehicle to promote communication between coaches, athletic administration and student-athletes.
The committee includes representatives from Athletics' 16 teams: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's crew, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's rugby, sailing (offshore and dinghy), men's and women's soccer, men's and women's water polo.
