Students are offered opportunities to physically engage through intramurals, recreation programming, aquatics and drop-in options.

Indoor Volleyball
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: Small Gym (7–9 p.m.)

Join us for open-gym style competition and drop-in games with other students.

All skill levels are welcome; just show up, get active and have fun!

 

Core and Mobility
Tuesday/Thursday: Small Gym (4:30–5:15 p.m.)
Trainer: Berto Hernandez

This class will focus on improving core stability, mobility
and range of motion for participants of all fitness levels.

 
 

 

Spin Cycle
Tuesdays + Thursdays: Small Gym (5:45-6:15 p.m.)
Trainer: Berto Hernandez

Join us for some high-energy indoor cycling!

Using stationary bikes, Spin Cycle focuses on cardio and endurance through interval training, sprints and hills.



Basketball
Wednesday: Small Gym (5-7 p.m.)

Bring your friends, or just show up, for a competetive opportunity open
to hoopers of all skill levels!

    

 

 

Flag Football       
Wednesday: Bodnar Field (5:20–7:15 p.m.)       

Whether you want to join a team or create your own,       
head to Bodnar Field and battle your peers in a       
fast-paced weekly competition! 

 

Futsol
Friday: Small Gym (6–7:30 p.m.)

If you are looking for a powerful and efficient way to work out or enhance your cardio, this dynamic indoor version of soccer is for you!

CPR Saves Lives – Learn It, Use It


Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a critical skill that empowers you to act fast in emergencies when someone’s heart or breathing stops. With just your hands, you can keep blood flowing and buy time until help arrives.

Whether you are on campus or out with friends, knowing CPR could help you save a life. Limited spots are available for each training.

Featured throughout this 76,000-square-foot complex, the home of Cal Maritime men's/women's basketball, are:

     • Cardio exercise room 

     • Free weight and circuit training rooms 

     • Athletic training and rehab center 

     • Main gymnasium with one basketball court, three volleyball courts and seating for 635 Guests 

     • Auxiliary gymnasium with a full-size volleyball court and half-size basketball court 

     • Olympic-size pool with bleachers 

     • Survival training platform with hoist
     • Two conference rooms

 Bodnar Field

In addition to hosting the University's commencement ceremony each spring, the home for Cal Maritime's men's/women's soccer and men's/women's rugby teams also provides the campus community with the following amenities:

     • Synthetic turf field for recreational use, intramural and intercollegiate competitions
     • Satellite athletic training room
     • All-weather running track (two lanes)
     • Automatic lighting system to provide facility for nighttime use by students
