Sylvester records top-five finish; Keelhaulers finish third at Cal Pac Showcase

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif. - Cal Maritime Men's Golf hosted the Cal Pac Showcase at Eagle Vines Golf Club in American Canyon, facing all conference teams throughout this three-day event. Freshman Mason Sylvester shot the low round of the day during each day of the tournament for CSUM; he fiinished with a 78 (+6) on Monday and Wednesday, and an 82 (+10) on Tuesday to capture third place among all individuals. 

Freshman Evan Molina shaved 10 strokes off of his score between days two and three as he finished 12th in the individual competition. Molina finished the tournament with a plus-39 (265). Junior Tyler Dendiu finished tied for 13th as he fired a tournament score of plus-57 (273).

Trey Alwert of Simpson University won the individual competition with a plus-16 (232), the Red Hawks also won the team competition as the Keelhaulers finished third.

Cal Maritime will travel to Papago Golf Club in Phoenix for the Cal Pac/Frontier Men's Golf Championship April 14-16, with the winners of the individual and team competitions advacning to the NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
