Keelhaulers fall in Cal Pac home opener

VALLEJO, Calif. – The Keelhaulers returned to Bodnar Field as they took on NAIA #21 Westcliff University. The Warriors defeated the Keelhaulers 5-0. 

In the first half, the Warriors would score in the ninth minute on a Jordan Di Lonardo shot. The Warriors would add to their lead in the 38th minute on a Lucas Rosell tally. The Warriors would score their final tally of the half in the 40th minute off the foot of Demitri Rodriguez Robles.

In the second half, the Warriors would extend their lead in the 47th minute on a Di Lonardo shot. The Warriors would score their final goal of the match in the 67th minute off the foot of Mohamed Sidi Haiba.

Cristian Ramirez had two shots to lead the Keelhaulers.

Jesse Heredia got the win for the Warriors while Fabian Garcia got the loss for the Keelhaulers. The Golden Eagles outshot the Keelhaulers 15-3 and the Warriors had a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Keelhaulers will wrap up their two match homestand as they take on Lincoln University (CA) at 1:30 p.m.at Bodnar Field.
