CSUM’s secures sixth at Top-9 Invite

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Cal Maritime's A team recorded five top-five finishes, which includes a bullet in the sixth round of racing, to finish with 61 points for its half of the Keelhaulers' overall score at the Top-9 Invite, hosted by Stanford at the Arrillaga Family Rowing and Sailing Center.

Combined with CSUM's B team results, sailing ended this regatta in sixth place overall.

With the exception of the fifth round, Stanford led from start-to-finish in its own regatta, at its home facility, to finish first.

Due to weather, racing on Saturday did not commence until 1:15 p.m.; a majority of the competition took place on Sunday,

The last of five regattas in as many consecutive weeks will take the Keelhaulers back to Morro Bay, California, the site of the Mustang Open. The second of two events hosted by Cal Poly this month, Cal Maritime successfully defended it Mustang Open Team Race title when it visited Central California during the weekend of February 2-3.
