Keelhaulers finish fifth at Pacific Coast Highway Invitational

CARMEL, Calif. – CSU Maritime Academy Men's Golf opened its 2024-25 campaign as they traveled down to the Central Coast to take part in the Pacific Coast Highway Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division II member Menlo College. The two-day tournament took place at Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel

In Monday's first round, senior James McNally led the Keelhaulers firing a +7 to lead the team and finished in 15th place for the day. Freshman Evan Molina shot a +13 for a 25th place finish. Junior Tyler Dendiu finished 27th after the first round as he shot a +12. Freshman Mason Sylvester shot a +15 for a 30th place finish after day one. Junior Brandon Bisk rounded out the Keelhaulers' contingent shooting a +29.

On Tuesday, three Keelhaulers improved their scores from Monday: McNally shot a +5 for the low round of the tournament for the Keelhaulers, Molina shot a +7 for a six-shot improvement, Dendiu shot a +15 in the second round, Sylvester shot a +12 and Bisk shot a +36  

Daniel Marmorstein of Dominican University (CA) won the individual competition with a -7. Dominican also won the team competition.

The Keelhaulers will continue their fall schedule October 7-8as they take part in the TMU Danish Classic in Solvang.
