Porter notches 14th-straight double-double on Senior Night, sits on the precipice of becoming the Cal Pac's scoring champion

VALLEJO, Calif. – Prior to Saturday's regular season final vs. La Sierra, Cal Maritime honored Simi Valley native Alicia Porter, and recognized her academic, athletic and extracurricular accomplishments in a pregame ceremony that included personal testimonials provided by head coach Denise Bennett and members of this year's team.

Once action commenced, Porter posted her 14th double-double in a row — increasing her final total to 21 for the season — by finishing with 15 points and a game-high 20 rebounds. Dylan Fulton led all players with 17 points by hitting half of her attempts from the floor and her only shot from three; Kai Kraus scored eight, earned seven of the team's 13 assists and collected five boards in a game the visiting Golden Eagles won, 77-51.

Since two Cal Pac contests are scheduled for Sunday, the accomplishment is not official: Alicia Porter ended her season with a 25.0 points per game average and, barring an unusual set of circumstances, will end up as the league's scoring champion for the 2022-23 season. Her 13.0 rebounds per game average is currently the second-highest figure in the conference and is less than 24 hours away from becoming an official year-end figure.

Cal Maritime ended its season with a 2-22 overall and 2-18 Cal Pac record.
