Amanda Carvalho,  Josh Kuiper named Champions of Character

VALLEJO, Calif. – Women's soccer graduate student Amanda Carvalho and men's soccer senior Josh Kuiper were named Cal Maritime's Champions of Character tonight by Cal Pac Conference officials.

Known nationwide as a 5-star conference of character, Carvalho and Kuiper earned a spot on the league's list of honorees by showcasing the NAIA's five pillars of its Champion of Character program: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant-leadership throughout the fall season.

Cal Pac officials selected one male and female student-athlete from each of its institutions to receive this honor. 

This is the first time each CSUM student-athlete received this honor in their respective careers.
