VALLEJO, Calif. – Off since hosting the Collegiate Water Polo Association's inaugural tournament of the season, Cal Maritime will return to action when it heads to UC Davis for the CWPA Tournament #2.

Throughout the weekend, the Keelhaulers are slated to face UC Davis. Nevada, Chico State and Cal's A squad before returning to campus Sunday evening.

Currently tied for third with Cal's A team in the Sierra Pacific Division standings, Cal Maritime will compete in a crucial set of games this weekend since the final results of this tournament will dictate overall seeds entering the league's year-end postseason tournament in mid-March.

The Keelhaulers will start the weekend facing UC Davis (A), a team it has not faced this year. At last month's tournament at PEAC Main Pool, the Keelhaulers defeated the Aggies' B team in their season opener.

Since Nevada forfeited its scheduled matches last month, tournament officials have not altered the weekend's schedule, at the time of this release, for a potential Wolf Pack absence. If this does occur, GoKeelhaulers.com will provide updated information regarding CSUM's second Saturday opponent, and any alterations to its Sunday schedule, once provided by on-site staff.

By facing Chico State and Cal (A) on Sunday, Cal Maritime will face opportunities to avenge losses suffered at home in January. Shorthanded with only one substitute when it fell on the short end of a 12-7 result against the Wildcats, women's water polo was forced to use its available players the entire match against Cal (A) and were edged 9-7 by the Golden Bears.

Once the Keelhaulers return to Vallejo at the end of the weekend, it will begin a four-week prep period for the Sierra Pacific Division Championship, hosted by Cal Maritime March 22 and 23.
