Keelhaulers secure sixth at Cal Pac Championship
FRESNO, Calif — Led by Laura Shoaf on the 6k course at Woodward Park in Fresno, Cal Maritime placed sixth in the Cal Pac Conference's annual year-end postseason meet.
Shoaf clocked a 33:22.6; finishing 32 seconds behind her in 26th place was Tabitha Lee Chon (33:54.7).
Alaina Rivas was the third CSUM runner the cross the line, she did so with a time of 35:36.6 to place 29th. Rounding out Cal Maritime's lineup was Michelle Gu and Charisa Saunders; the former finished 32nd with a time of 36:59.8 and the latter ended her morning in 36th place with a time of 41:39.4.
UC Merced hosted this year's meet and captured both the individual (Elizette Ysais) and team championships.
