VALLEJO, Calif. –
Victorious in its last two games, Cal Maritime wants nothing more than to build its second win streak of three games when it visits La Sierra and Westcliff this weekend in the team's longest block of Cal Pac road games this season.

After visiting Riverside Thursday night and Huntington Beach two days later — La Sierra plays its game on campus but Westcliff hosts its games off-campus with Golden West College's Recreation Gymnasium serving as the Warriors' home this year — the Keelhaulers will visit Angwin on February 1 to play Pacific Union before hosting their next Cal Pac contest.

Men's basketball will play at home next Thursday, but that is a non-conference matchup vs. Nelson University-Arizona.

With a string of impressive performances in recent weeks, Jamal Frenchwood is making a case as one of the league's top players. He is now one of the Cal Pac's top-five scorers and enters the week ranked fifth at 12.9 points per game.

Teammate DeAndre Minor is also ranked fifth in overall shooting with his .579 field goal percentage with Nick Stone ranked second in three-point percentage, shooting .425 from distance this season.

Even though Cal Maritime swept the season series on 2022-23, La Sierra was the one that collected a pair of dubs in last year's season series.

The Golden Eagles are struggling this season after losing their first 16 games, a streak that ended on January 7 at home vs. Nobel.

Following that result, LSU, dropped its Cal Pac opener against Westcliff.

Rollercoaster is the best word to describe the Warriors' season so far: After starting the season with wins in three of their first four played, they dropped three of the next five, which includes the first league contest of the year.

Of its nine official games played throughout 2024-25, WU played three at "home" and won two.
