Personal: Grew up in Nevada City, California… Graduated from Nevada Union High School in 2020… Majoring in marine transportation… Named captain of her high school’s water polo team… Enjoys mixed martial arts and possesses a second-degree black belt… Attended Cuesta College, located in San Luis Obispo, before transferring to Cal Maritime… Chose Cal Maritime due to the opportunities provided by its marine transportation program… Favorite memories as a cadet-athlete involve bonding with teammates at overnight tournaments… The sense of determination and community is her favorite aspect of being a Cal Maritime cadet… Member of the Motorcycle Club and SCUBA Club… Enjoys MMA, painting, riding motorcycles, lifting weights and surfing in her free time… Plans to sail tankers after earning her Cal Maritime degree… Louis Zamperini is her hero due to his level of resilience.
